Mechana

A subpart of the body of knowledge collectively called Arcana. Means Mechanical Arcana and also refferred to as Arcane Technology and arcanomechanics. Essentially it's hybrid of magic and science where one creates machines that use both real-world physics and laws as well as magical ones to operate. These hybrids tend to be more magic than machine, but both are vital to the whole. Because it is becoming increasingly apparent that mechana is not intrinsically bound to arcane power, scholars begin to suggest the term "magitech".

Though they cannot normally be found in Kjeldorn, the warforged race of Eberron would be a prime (and quite advanced) example of mechana as is the lightning rail found on the same setting.

Mechana is virtually unheard of in Kjeldorn save for particuarly learned sages, though some arcanomechanical items can be found, leftovers from planewalking adventurers mostly.

The Corona artifact wielded by Vass Jaquel Draracle appears to be such an item. How that is possible remains to be revealed.
