Death Gods

Few notions in the multiverse are more important than death, save perhaps life itself. Throughout the Multiverse, there are several Gods that hold sway over Death; the most powerful of which are known as the Death Gods. Death Gods are not necessarily evil—in fact, most aren’t—as death is simply a fact of life. The most notorious Death Gods are Norojch, Kelemvor, Hades, and the Raven Queen (who claimed her power by killing Nerull). The Demon Prince Orcus wishes to become a Death God himself, and constantly plots against one Death God or another, particularly the Raven Queen and Norojch. Hredd and Woden have authority over death but are not Death Gods. While Woden simply wishes to remove Hredd’s influence, she wants to become a true Death God and has attempted to do so in the past.
