A person capable of casting rituals and often arcane spells. A non-wizard PC with the Arcane Initiate [Multiclass Wizard] feat. Often seen as synonymous with arcanist, but mage is particularly used when the subject in question can cast offensive spells in combat. Wizards and other arcane classes are technically elite mages.
