Dawn War, the

The war between the Gods and the Primordials over the control of the Material Universe. It broke out when the gods began to make uninvited alterations to the Material Plane the Primordials had created. The gods eventually gained the advantage but the war was officially ended by the intervention of the Primal Spirits who decreed that neither god nor primordial would walk the Material Planes uninvited. The Spirits however have amicable relations with the gods while they consider the Primordials their enemies because the latter intended to destroy the natural universe once they were done creating it in order to create something new.
